Could Peter have done all the follow-up teaching after 3000 souls were added at Pentecost? Did Peter answer all those questions
himself? Did Peter lead each group
in the breaking of bread? Did
Peter lead all the prayer times? No! He had help. He
had THEY.
THEY were
involved as this first wave of harvest continued moving forward in that day.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, THEY ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46–47
Breaking bread from house to house? Did Peter organize each of those meetings, bake all the bread, lead in all the praising, care for all the children, and personally add every new convert to the church? No, no, no, and no.
Peter had to have helpers. He needed a ministry of helpers. He needed those who would stand with him, shoulder to shoulder, every joint supplying. THEY had to do and be exactly what they were set into the body to do and be. Revival and harvest could not have been accomplished, maintained, or moved forward without a people called THEY then or without a people called they today!
THEY had ministries that mattered. Are you a THEY? Your ministry matters!
