The tangible anointing and presence of God that was in,
on, and about Peter healed the sick without a prayer prayed or a word
spoken.
“So that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them” (Acts 5:15).
I can’t wait until the day those who serve as helpers finally understand they are without a doubt in the real ministry, actually drawing real life, real power, and real anointing from the same source the preachers are. With that expectation comes the revelation that God can and will accompany them with the tangible anointing He has for every believer.
He’s told they asked the
Lord for wisdom, grace, and His presence as they shook hands and greeted the
coming worshipers. Well, what
does that have to do with an empty sanctuary, asks the pastor. The breathless reply comes. “As they
reach to shake peoples’ hands, they’re being healed, set free of vices,
delivered of demonic oppression, and overcome with the power of God. They’re lying all over the foyer and
parking lot, worshiping the Risen King!”
Let it be so, Lord Jesus!
